I'm liking the new digs!
Me too! It's good to be back on concrete again. I think the asphalt allowed a lot of moisture to through from the ground. Before this, I was in three hangars with an asphalt floor and two with concrete and the concrete floored hangars always seemed to be drier inside. Plus, the bright lighting and reflective floor and walls really makes for a nice, bright workspace inside. This is a nice hangar.
Brilliant! Looks really good. Nothing worse than a dingy hangar. Still at Sodus?
Still at Sodus, just a few hundred feet from where I was hangared previously. With the new hangars being finished, they've created a bit of a stratified class system at the airport. There are the new hangars with concrete floors, with south-facing going at a premium and north-facing being less desirable (because of snow and ice). There are the north and south facing enclosed hangars with asphalt floors that I just moved from. There are also the original open hangars. Everything is priced commensurately with their desirability. There has been quite a shuffle at the airport as people have started moving around. Regardless, it's fantastic to see the airport continuing to grow.
